IGEL Thin and Zero Clients now support the VMware Blast 
Extreme protocol that holds through based on industry standards architecture numerous benefits for end users. In Blast Extreme, which is a component of VMware Horizon is 7, it is a mobile cloud optimized display protocol that next to the H.264 standard also offers HTML Client Support. The VMware Blast Extreme protocol is supported by all VMware certified IGEL Thin and Zero Clients and includes the following features:
- Hardware acceleration on the back-end side by supporting the following graphics cards: NVIDIA GRID M6, M10 and M60; AMD FirePro S4000X, S7000, S9000, S9050 and W7000; Intel HD Graphics P4700 and Iris Pro Graphics P630
- Hardware acceleration on the client side for each H.264-enabled terminal
- Lossless CODEC – enables lossless de- / compression of images
- Support Virtual Connections
By integrating VMware Blast Extreme have IGEL customers even more ways to use the protocol appropriate for them and their infrastructure. August 2016 – IGEL Thin und Zero Clients unterstützen ab sofort das VMware Blast Extreme Protokoll, das durch die auf Industrie-Standards basierende Architektur zahlreiche Vorteile für Endanwender bereithält. Bei Blast Extreme, das Bestandteil von VMware Horizon 7 ist, handelt es sich um ein Mobile Cloud-optimiertes Anzeigeprotokoll das neben dem H.264-Standard auch HTML Client Support bietet. Dadurch können Kunden via Web-Browser auch über Mobilgeräte auf virtuelle Desktops und Applikationen zugreifen.
